ABTECH – 27M MAN RIDING WINCH
The ABTECH 27m Man Riding Winch is a high-performance, two-speed winch designed specifically for confined space entry, rescue, and retrieval operations. With a reach of 100ft (27m), this winch is man-rated and suitable for lowering, raising, or supporting personnel in demanding environments.
Engineered for safety, the 27m Man Riding Winch features a triple-redundant braking system. A friction brake engages under a minimal load of 10lbs (4.5kg), while a back-up inertia brake ensures an added layer of protection. The 27m Man Riding Winch only operates when the handle is actively turned, providing excellent control during operation. A digital counter tracks usage, aiding maintenance and compliance.
The system provides a mechanical advantage of 9:1 or 4:1, making operation efficient even under load. With a maximum user weight of 204kg, it supports both the worker and their equipment. At just 15kg (excluding brackets), it offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio.
Compatible with ABTECH tripods and davits, the winch can be easily mounted using the appropriate brackets for a fully integrated safety setup.
