The Abtech EFS102/2 Spinal Splint with Flotation is a compact, portable immobilisation solution designed for safe and effective spinal injury management, including water-based rescues. Weighing just 3.9kg and measuring 840mm x 880mm when flat, it rolls up easily for transport and storage, making it a practical addition to any worksite or emergency kit.
The EFS102/2 Spinal Splint with Flotation features a secure flotation insert that covers the full surface area of the splint, allowing casualties to be safely stabilised and moved in or around water. The insert is firmly held in place by full-length Velcro strips, ensuring it won’t shift or detach during use.
The EFS102/2 Spinal Splint with Flotation offers full-body stabilisation, starting with two heavy-duty Velcro straps that keep the head aligned and immobile. Three brightly coloured, adjustable chest and abdominal straps with trident clips provide secure positioning across the torso, helping to prevent further injury during movement. Two leg harness-style straps anchor the lower body, providing critical support, especially during vertical lifts or confined space extractions.
