IKAR – HAS Aluminium Housing, Steel Cable Lifeline

The IKAR HAS series offers a reliable and easy-to-use solution for fall protection and automatic controlled descent. Manufactured, tested, and certified in Germany, these devices meet EN360 (Retractable Type Fall Arrest Devices) and EN341 (Descender Devices for Rescue from Height) standards, ensuring top-tier performance and safety.

Housed in a shock-resistant aluminium casing, the HAS units are built to endure demanding environments while remaining low maintenance and user-friendly. Inside, a Ø4.8mm galvanised steel cable lifeline connects to a double-action aluminium connector with a load-indicating swivel eye that helps prevent twisting and allows for quick, secure connection.

The HAS9 model includes a swivel eye anchorage point for easy attachment, while larger models (HAS18/30) feature a robust carry handle that doubles as an attachment point.

Functioning much like a car seatbelt, the device allows for free movement during normal use while maintaining tension on the line. In the event of a fall, the locking mechanism engages instantly, and the internal brake disk controls the descent, keeping forces well below the 6kN limit and automatically lowering the user at approximately 0.5 m/s.
