The Reid Lifting PortaBase Counterbalance is a robust, portable davit base solution designed to provide maximum flexibility and safety when a fixed socket installation is not feasible. Expertly engineered to be fully compatible with Reid’s range of TDAVIT systems, this counterbalance unit supports both goods lifting and personnel access, making it ideal for a wide range of lifting, fall protection, and confined space applications.
This five-piece modular system can be quickly assembled without tools, thanks to a pin-based connection design, streamlining setup and minimising downtime on site. Its compact and portable form breaks down easily for storage and transport, with detachable legs, a foldable basket, and integrated swivel castors for smooth manoeuvrability.
Built for strength and reliability, the PortaBase supports a Working Load Limit (WLL) of up to 600kg for goods and 300kg for personnel, and is EN795:2012 certified for fall protection use. Levelling feet ensure secure placement even on uneven ground, while the use of 20kg hand weights for counterbalancing reduces manual handling risks and enhances on-site safety.
