The Vivax Loc3 Series 10-Watt Broadband Transmitter is a powerful, versatile tool designed for accurate and efficient utility locating across a wide range of applications. Featuring selectable induction and direct connection frequencies from 98Hz to 200kHz, the Loc3 Series offers unmatched flexibility in signal generation, while integrating advanced features such as Signal Direction (SD), fault finding, and true resistance measurement up to 1 MΩ as standard.

The Loc3 Series is equipped with a high-visibility two-inch by one-inch dot matrix display, enhanced with an LED backlight for easy readability in all conditions. The screen provides real-time information including output current, connection type, voltage, resistance, frequency, audio volume, battery condition, and high voltage warnings, ensuring users have complete operational awareness at all times.

When paired with the vLoc3-5000 receiver, the Loc3 Series fully supports the innovative Signal Select (SiS) and Distortion Alert line identification features. Signal Select is designed to help users positively confirm they are tracing the correct utility line, especially in areas where signal bleed onto adjacent cables and pipes can cause confusion. Operating between 491Hz and 35kHz, Signal Select identifies the signal flow direction and detects any distortion, helping operators isolate the target line with confidence.

The Signal Direction (SD) mode provides further reassurance by indicating whether the detected signal is the original transmitted one or a returning signal from nearby utilities. By identifying the direction of signal flow, SD mode ensures precise utility identification even in congested environments.

An optional Transmitter Link (Tx-Link) enables remote operation of the transmitter from the receiver, with a typical range of around 300 metres (985 feet) when maintaining a clear line of sight. This feature enhances operational efficiency, especially over large or complex work sites.

The Loc3 Series is housed in a lightweight, rugged, and ergonomic IP54-rated casing, offering excellent protection against dust and water ingress. It consistently delivers reliable current output across direct connect, clamp, or induction modes and is built to withstand incoming voltages of up to 240V, ensuring robust performance in demanding field conditions.
