    Wolf – ATEX Torch

    The Wolf ATEX Torches are designed for exceptional durability and performance in demanding conditions. Certified for CE marking and approved for use in temperatures from 65°C in the T6 models (TS-26B/TR-26B) to 95°C in the T4 models (TS-24B/TR-24B), these torches provide reliable illumination even in hazardous environments. The T4 model uses xenon bulbs set in a parabolic reflector, offering powerful light output with up to 12 hours of runtime. The T6 model, equipped with vacuum filament bulbs, is ideal for Zone 1 and Zone 2 atmospheres and delivers optimal performance for up to five hours.

    Compact and weighing under 500g, the Wolf ATEX Torches are designed for ergonomic handling and feature single-handed switching, making them easy to operate even when wearing gloves. Constructed from high-strength thermoplastic resins, these torches provide exceptional impact resistance, even in sub-zero temperatures, while offering excellent chemical resistance. A rubber-armoured lens ring and end cap enhance durability, while the IP67-certified enclosure ensures the torches are sealed against dust and protected from water immersion. For added versatility, the right-angle models include a replaceable thermoplastic belt clip for hands-free use. Both models allow for quick battery and bulb replacement, with a spare bulb included for convenience. Ideal for detailed hand work, the Wolf ATEX Torches deliver between 170lux and 230lux at 5m, ensuring reliable visibility in tough conditions.

    • ​The primary distinction between the Wolf Safety T4 and T6 torches lies in their temperature classifications, which determine their suitability for different hazardous environments.​

      Temperature Classification
      • T4 Models: These torches are rated for environments where the maximum surface temperature must not exceed 135°C. They are suitable for areas with less stringent temperature requirements.​
      • T6 Models: These are designed for more hazardous areas, with a maximum surface temperature limit of 85°C, making them appropriate for environments where lower ignition temperatures are a concern.​

    • The Wolf Safety T4 is best used in hazardous areas where the risk of ignition is lower, meaning environments where gases, vapours, or dusts have higher ignition temperatures (≥135°C).

    • Both the Wolf Safety T4 and T6 torches are designed to handle getting wet — they’re IP67 rated, meaning they are fully dust-tight (no ingress of dust at all), and protected against immersion in water up to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes.

      What happens if they get wet?
      • Rain, splashes, or even submersion won’t damage them.
      • If dropped in water (like a puddle or shallow tank), they’ll continue to function as long as the seals are intact.
      • They’re built for harsh environments – think offshore, industrial, or confined spaces where moisture is common.
