        Radiodetection – Cat 4, StrikeAlert

The CAT 4 is Radiodetection’s standard model Cable Avoidance Tool, designed to enhance safety during excavation by helping operators detect buried cables and pipes. When paired with the Genny4 transmitter, it allows operators to quickly and accurately locate a wide range of utilities, minimising the risk of injury and damage.

A standout safety feature of the CAT 4, StrikeAlert, provides an audible and visual warning when the device detects a potential cable strike risk. This alerts the operator to stop and reassess the situation, significantly reducing the chances of damaging buried utilities or causing harm.

        Key Features:

        • Power Mode – Detects signals from energised cables.
        • Radio Mode – Detects radio signals from powered cables.
        • Genny Mode – Works in conjunction with the Genny4 transmitter for enhanced detection of buried utilities.
        • Avoidance Mode – Helps operators identify safe digging zones and avoid potential hazards.
        • StrikeAlert – Warns operators when approaching a buried utility, reducing the risk of accidental strikes.

With the CAT 4, operators can confidently perform excavation tasks, knowing they have a reliable tool that enhances safety, minimises utility damage, and boosts overall efficiency.
