The Radiodetection Genny 4 Signal Generator is designed to enhance the performance of cable avoidance operations by providing a patented, simultaneous dual-frequency signal output. This advanced technology makes it particularly effective for locating smaller-diameter cables, such as telecoms and street lighting cables, including the detection of spurs that can often be missed by traditional systems. The Genny 4 Signal Generator is an essential companion to all Radiodetection C.A.T4 locator models, which are equipped to detect both signals simultaneously, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient survey.
The Genny 4 Signal Generator is equipped with a powerful Signal Boost function, which increases the locate signal strength up to 1.0 Watt. This feature enables the signal to travel further and deeper underground, coupling more effectively onto buried utilities. As a result, it improves the detection of utilities over greater distances and in more challenging conditions, helping to reduce the risk of strikes and ensuring safer excavation practices.
Designed with practicality in mind, the Genny 4 includes an integrated accessory storage tray, keeping essential tools and attachments organised and easily accessible during use. It also features a 33kHz induction mode, allowing the generator to induce a signal onto buried utilities without the need for direct connection. However, for situations where direct connection is preferred or necessary, the Genny 4 fully supports this method, providing flexibility depending on the worksite environment.
