C.SCOPE – MXT4 Multi-Frequency Signal Transmitter with Data-Logging, Visual Display

The C.SCOPE MXT4 Multi-Frequency Signal Transmitter is an advanced signal-generating solution built to work seamlessly with the MXL4 Precision Locator, delivering enhanced accuracy, versatility, and control in the detection and tracing of underground utilities. Ideal for professional use across utilities, construction, rail, and civil engineering, the MXT4 is designed to energise a wider range of buried services with pinpoint accuracy—even in congested or electrically noisy environments.

Supporting an expanded range of frequencies from 512/640Hz up to 131kHz, the MXT4 allows for both standard and complex utility detection, including a dual-frequency 33kHz and 131kHz simultaneous output. This helps increase the number of services that can be traced, particularly smaller-diameter or poorly earthed cables, using either direct connection, a signal clamp, or simple induction from ground level, offering greater operational flexibility in the field.

The MXT4 features a fully adjustable one-watt power output and a four-position power level control, allowing users to tailor signal strength for deeper or longer-range tracing. It ensures reliable detection over greater distances, even in difficult terrain or under challenging environmental conditions.

Equipped with data logging and a clear visual display, the MXT4 provides insightful usage metrics and easy navigation of key settings. Like the MXL4 Locator, it includes a fully Automatic Daily Self-Test (ADST), verifying performance at the start of each working day without the need for recalibration, ensuring consistency, reliability, and reduced downtime.
