Ritelite – Flexitrace

The Ritelite Flexitrace is a versatile and highly effective solution for locating non-metallic ducts, drains, and small-diameter pipes. Featuring an improved coil size of just 8.3mm in diameter, the Flexitrace offers exceptional flexibility, making it ideal for rodding through narrow ducts and pipes, including ½ inch (12.7mm) water and gas pipes. Its design allows easy navigation through pipe joints and bends down to a bend radius of approximately 250mm, ensuring accurate and efficient tracing even in confined spaces.

The Flexitrace operates in two distinct modes to provide maximum flexibility depending on the locating task.
In Sonde Mode, the end coil is energised by connecting both of the Flexitrace’s terminals to a signal generator. This activates the sonde, allowing operators to locate the endpoint and depth of the duct or drain accurately.
In Line Mode, one terminal of the Flexitrace is connected to a signal generator while the other is connected to an earth stake (or other independent earth). This setup enables tracing of the duct or drain’s full direction using a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT Receiver) along its entire length.

Built for durability, the Flexitrace features the highest quality reinforced fibreglass rod, available in 4.5mm or 6.7mm diameters, and fitted with three 0.5mm copper trace wires for superior signal transmission. The rod is protected with a UV-inhibited coating, ensuring resistance to environmental degradation.

The 4.5mm rod version is fitted with a tuned coil housed in robust nylon at 8.3mm diameter, while the 6.7mm version incorporates a tuned coil at 10.3mm diameter for enhanced performance.
A compact junction box, fitted with quality screw lugs, facilitates easy attachment of feeds from a signal generator using fork terminals or crocodile clips. All components are mounted on a rugged steel frame, finished with a weatherproof powder coating for outstanding durability in harsh conditions. The frame dimensions are 490mm high, 430mm long, and 230mm wide, ensuring a compact yet stable footprint for ease of use and transport.
