C.SCOPE – SGA3 Signal Generator

The C.Scope SGA3 Signal Generator is an affordable and highly effective tool designed to work alongside the CXL3 and DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tools, significantly improving the detection of buried utilities, including hard-to-find services like street lighting cables. By optimising the performance of a Cable Avoidance Tool, the SGA3 helps operators locate more underground services and reduces the risk of costly and dangerous cable strikes.

Operating at 33kHz, the SGA3 can energise a buried metal pipe or cable using two methods: direct connection, where the signal is applied directly to the target, or induction, a simpler, non-contact method from above ground.

The SGA3 features both Pulsed and Continuous signal output modes, allowing operators to switch to Pulsed Mode at the push of a button in high-interference environments while maintaining accurate tracing. A clear audible signal output confirms when the unit is active, and an in-built mute control provides added convenience.

Built for durability, the SGA3’s twin-wall construction ensures robustness, while its IP65-rated design offers protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.

For added convenience, the SGA3 includes a large detachable accessory tray at its base, capable of storing both standard accessories—such as Direct Connection Leads, Earth Stake, Connection Magnets, a 10m Auxiliary Earth Lead, and the Instruction Manual—as well as optional extras like Signal Clamps, Sondes, and Signal Injectors.
