Vivax – vCamMX-2 Pipeline Inspection Camera
The Vivax vCamMX-2 Mini-camera system is a compact and affordable solution, purpose-built for the inspection of smaller pipelines ranging from 1½ inches to 4 inches (38mm to 100mm) in diameter. Designed with professional users in mind, it delivers high-definition clarity and versatile functionality, making it ideal for plumbers, contractors, and building maintenance teams who need accurate and efficient internal inspections.
The vCamMX-2 features two interchangeable camera heads, allowing users to adapt quickly to different pipe sizes and conditions. Equipped with HD technology, the system produces sharp, detailed video and still images, ensuring that defects and obstructions are visible. A built-in three-frequency sonde, integrated into the system, enables easy location of the camera head underground with a compatible locator, while the locatable pushrod and distance counter add further precision and reliability to every inspection.
The vCamMX-2 offers multiple convenient recording options. Users can record inspections directly onto a USB drive, create backups to an SD card, or connect via Wi-Fi to the VMC app, enabling live recording and control from a tablet or smartphone. A built-in microphone allows for audio commentary during inspections, helping to create comprehensive, professional inspection reports with ease.
The system’s stainless steel Type-MX reel features a lightweight carbon fibre pushrod drum, designed for strength, flexibility, and durability. Its dual-position frame design allows the reel to be used either upright or horizontally, providing maximum flexibility in tight or awkward spaces. Powered by rechargeable batteries, the vCamMX-2 ensures extended use on-site without the constant need for mains power.
