Petzl – OK Lightweight oval carabiner

The Petzl OK is a lightweight aluminium oval carabiner designed to ensure smooth, balanced loading when used with equipment such as pulleys, rope clamps, and mobile fall arresters. Its symmetrical oval shape provides optimal alignment and positioning of devices with wide cross-sections, helping maximise performance and safety during rope access and rigging tasks.

Engineered for ease of use, the carabiner features a fluid interior design that reduces snagging and enhances handling, while the Keylock system prevents accidental snagging on gear, ropes, or harnesses. The OK is available with three locking systems to suit various user preferences and safety requirements: the manual SCREW-LOCK, automatic TRIACT-LOCK, and BALL-LOCK.

To further improve performance and orientation, the OK can be paired with the CAPTIV positioning bar (sold separately), which keeps the carabiner properly aligned along its major axis, reduces the risk of flipping, and helps maintain a secure connection with the attached device.
