Reid Lifting – PortX Davit
The Reid Lifting PortX Davit is a lightweight, portable lifting and fall protection system engineered for confined space entry, egress, and a wide range of industrial and construction safety applications. Combining goods lifting capability with EN795:2012-certified fall arrest performance, the PortX Davit offers a reliable, easy-to-use solution where mobility, flexibility, and compliance are essential.
Built with Reid’s patented integral bearing system, the PortX allows for smooth and comfortable rotation under load, making it easy to operate even in tight spaces. The three-piece design enables fast, tool-free assembly and disassembly by a single person, and it comes with a carry bag for convenient transport and storage.
Optimised for shoring, trenching, and confined space work, the davit’s rear-mounted fall protection device points help avoid clashes with walls, guardrails, or obstacles, while dual device mounting points on the rear column enable primary and secondary safety, or simultaneous personnel and goods lifting.
The PortX Davit supports up to 300kg for goods lifting and 150kg for personnel, and is certified to EN795:2012 (Class B) and EN1496:2017 safety standards. It comes ATEX Zone 2 certified as standard, with an optional Zone 1 upgrade, making it suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Crafted from marine-grade alloy and anodised/powder-coated for maximum corrosion resistance, the PortX Davit offers durability, strength, and portability—perfect for environments where performance and compliance can’t be compromised.
