The Spanset Gotcha SHARK is a high-performance descending-only rescue and evacuation kit, specifically designed for experienced tower and mast climbers, riggers, and work-at-height professionals. With a descent capacity of up to 180 metres for a 200kg mass, the Gotcha SHARK is ideal for complex or prolonged evacuations, where reliability, precision, and user confidence are paramount. Unlike traditional rope cutting systems, the SHARK utilises a safe, bladeless cutting operation, providing a secure and non-destructive method of controlled descent.
At the core of the system is a certified descender, purpose-built to support the controlled lowering of two individuals. This makes it particularly effective for rescues where a casualty may be unconscious or unable to descend unaided, and where being accompanied can significantly increase safety.
