Petzl – ASTRO European Version

The Petzl ASTRO European version is a premium full-body harness designed for maximum comfort, efficiency, and seamless equipment integration—ideal for rope access, rescue, and technical work at height.

At the core of its design is the gated ventral attachment point, which can be opened to easily integrate essential gear such as rope clamps, lanyards, and seats. This unique feature allows the direct connection of a PROGRESS lanyard, CROLL rope clamp, or PODIUM seat, while maintaining excellent mobility and operational efficiency during rope ascents or descents.

The ASTRO European version harness delivers outstanding comfort through a wide, semi-rigid waistbelt and leg loops, contoured for support and lined with breathable foam padding—ensuring long-lasting comfort while suspended. Foam-padded shoulder straps are widely spaced to prevent neck chafing and help distribute weight evenly when the waistbelt is under load.

Self-locking DOUBLEBACK PLUS buckles on the waistbelt and shoulder straps allow for fast, secure adjustments, while the FAST LT automatic buckles on the leg loops make for quick and easy donning—even with gloves on. DOUBLEBACK buckles at the rear, between the waistbelt and leg loops, offer additional adjustment when using the dorsal attachment point, improving comfort by shifting the load to the legs during suspension after a fall.

The ASTRO European version harness is also designed for practical tool management, featuring six pre-shaped equipment loops with protective sheaths, along with integrated slots for two CARITOOL tool holders and two TOOLBAG pouches—making it easy to carry, organise, and access your gear while working at height.
