PETZL – ABSORBICA-I
The Petzl ABSORBICA-I is a compact, single lanyard with an integrated energy absorber, designed to provide reliable fall protection during work on horizontal lifelines (rope or cable) and elevated platforms. With its slim, lightweight construction and dependable energy-absorbing performance, it’s ideal for professionals who require freedom of movement without compromising safety.
The ABSORBICA-I is available in 80 cm or 150 cm lengths (excluding connectors) and is built to limit impact forces in the event of a fall. Its progressive tearing energy absorber controls deceleration, reducing the force on the user and maintaining fall protection integrity for workers weighing between 60 and 140 kg.
The low-profile energy absorber is housed in a durable fabric pouch that protects it from abrasion, dirt, and damage, while still allowing easy inspection. The ABSORBICA-I is engineered to minimise bulk, ensuring the lanyard stays out of the way during progression.
With two connection options to the harness, users can choose a carabiner with STRING positioning accessory for frequent connections, or a RING OPEN gated ring for semi-permanent setups. The end of the lanyard can also be fitted with different connector types, including a locking carabiner or MGO OPEN connector with a large gate opening.
