The RIDGEGEAR RGL16 is a robust and adaptable twin leg fall arrest lanyard designed to provide continuous protection while moving between anchorage points via double clipping. Ideal for high-risk tasks such as tower climbing, steel erecting, scaffolding, and maintenance on open structures, the RGL16 combines flexibility, safety, and adjustability for confident working at height.
Unlike standard fixed-length lanyards, the RGL16 is fully adjustable, ranging from 1.2m to 1.8m (including connectors). This helps reduce trip hazards and allows workers to minimise potential free fall distances, optimising both safety and user comfort.
Fitted with a shock absorber pack, the RGL16 is designed to limit the maximum arrest force to under 6kN in the event of a fall, helping to protect the user’s body from excessive impact. It is supplied with two steel adjusters and a 17mm steel screwgate karabiner (RGK1), ensuring reliable, secure connections across varied anchorage setups.
Certified to EN 355:2002, the RGL16 is a critical component for professionals who need versatility and mobility without compromising fall protection.
The RIDGEGEAR RGL16, RGL11, and RGL13 are all shock-absorbing lanyards designed for different height safety needs. The RGL16 is a twin-leg adjustable lanyard ideal for tower climbing and scaffolding, allowing double clipping between anchor points for continuous protection. The RGL11 is a single-leg kernmantle rope lanyard used in static positions, often choked around poles, popular in utility work. The RGL13 is a single-leg adjustable webbing lanyard designed for static work with the added benefit of adjustability to reduce fall distance and trip hazards. All are EN 355:2002 certified and feature a shock absorber to limit arrest forces to under 6kN.
